Auto-generated captions [Launched December 6, 2024]

Anyone engaging in a virtual connection on Handshake (such as virtual appointments or virtual fairs) will be able to turn on auto-generated captions.

Updated job alerts copy [Launched December 11, 2024]

We’ve updated the language in our job alert emails and push notifications to provide more personalization. We will continue to optimize the content, messaging, and relevance of these important notifications. 

Public profiles link [Beta rollout began December 12, 2024]

We’ve started rolling out the ability for students with their profile visibility set to “community” to make their profile visible outside of Handshake via a link. They also have the option to generate a custom email signature featuring the profile link. Students are able to disable the link at any time. This update will roll out for all students in January.

Public likes [Launched December 13, 2024]

We’ve started rolling out the ability for users to see who liked their posts on the feed—historically they’ve only seen a count of likes.
